Hi, beautifull painting, may I ask what is maroger medium?
:iconturningshadow:
created by this guy:

He based the formula on the mediums of the old masters. One of his students, Ann Didusch Schuler, founded the atelier school that I currently attend. The painters at the school make (and use) the stuff, but another deviant informed me of another source

You can read about it's characteristics on that site.

I don't have experience with other mediums, but it is supposed to be much better than any store-bought medium. I do know of a cheaper modern alternative that is supposed to be similar : Neo Megilp, made by Gamblin.

good luck! -D

Lovely piece....You have incredible tallent.
I went and had a look at what "maroger" means. Quite interesting, I had no idea. Thx for the info and links posted above, I love learning new things. Do you have any tricks in preserving acrylic paintings. Should they be applied a top clear acrylic based coat?
